The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

What's that you say? It's been over 2 years since my last journal entry? Well, time flies I guess. I've still been doing some limited modding on and off at #WerewolvesAtHeart, but overall, DeviantArt is one of the top 2 sites (the other being Reddit) that command most of my time and traffic as I continue to search for all the best werewolf art I can find. I also got my 2013 Werewolf Calendar [link] and am exited to put that up.

Anyway, on to the reason for this journal. I thought it would be interesting to see what types of wolves (horror, natural, furry, and therian) people most identified with or preferred, so I threw together this poll to find out! The overall results are visible at the end of the questions.

Oh, nice! Sorry the silly poll only shows the first 100 answers; I was thinking about upgrading to the premium option just so everyone can actually see what they chose and see the overall results, but they want like $25 a month! Things are going well, I suppose. My school is making it difficult for me to graduate because apparently asking for the administration to offer enough credits for my to complete my requirements is a little too much to ask for, but other than that, I'm having a good time as usual. I've been a little too busy to work on stuff that I'd like to though (drawing, writing, etc.). Lately I've been setting aside time to chug through some fun work though. I want to get more of Zeke's story done soonish.
